Managing Partner Ben (beyong-ho) YUU has been elected as the 15th President of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) Korea Group.
He will hold office as President for the next three years.
An admitted Korean patent attorney and US patent attorney and attorney at law (California), Ben is currently a Managing Partner at Nam & Nam.
Ben’s extensive work experience includes ten years at Qualcomm in the US as Vice President in the Corporate IP Legal team,
where he was in charge of patent litigation relating to telecommunications standards and building a global patent portfolio.
He also worked for five years at Samsung Electronics' IP Center as head of the Patent and Technology Analysis Group,
where his experience included participating in Samsung Electronics’ smartphone litigation battle with Apple.
He has also served as Vice President of the APAA Korea Group, and currently serves as a director and co-chair of the APAA Design Standing Committee.
